I Need to Lose Weight and Fast ” Should I Join a Gym? THE FULL REVIEW

Reasons You May Want to Join a Gym

  • Motivation. Everyone at the gym is there for one reason”to exercise. Being around people who share the same objective can motivate you to dig your heels in and get your workouts done. If going to the gym will encourage you to exercise regularly, then I say go for it!
  • No Distractions at Home. There is always something to do or someone who needs you at home. These distractions can easily take priority (in your mind) over exercising. When you do most of your workouts at the gym, the dishes, dinner, phone calls, laundry and anything else you “need” to do will just have to wait.
  • Access to Exercise Equipment and Fitness Classes. You don’t need much exercise equipment to get a good workout. However, doing the same old exercise videos and running on the same old treadmill can bore you to pieces. When you opt to workout in a gym, you have access to tons of equipment and a variety of fitness classes, so you rarely get bored.

Reasons You May Not Want to Join a Gym

  • You May Get Stuck in a Contract. Plenty of people join a gym and use their memberships religiously. Others start off with a boom and then fade away. If you are one of the faders and you sign a 12 month contract, you’ll be stuck paying for a year long membership that you never use. Basically, it will be a waste of money.
  • Fees are Continuous. Most contracted gym membership fees are collected via automatic bank draft. If you lose your job or run into financial hardships, there is no way to stop the gym from pulling money out of your account until your contract expires. If your finances are really messed up, the money the gym takes out of your account can cause overdraft charges and other financial hardships.
  • Overcrowding. Gyms are in the business of making money. The more members they have, the more money they make. These facilities can be pretty crowded during peak hours. If you hate crowds or are uncomfortable exercising around others, the gym atmosphere may not be for you.
  • Germy Equipment. Sweaty bodies and dirty hands”it’s no secret that the exercise equipment and locker rooms at gyms are stomping grounds for germs. Anytime you come into contact with germy equipment, you become vulnerable to illnesses and infections. If you are a germaphobe or slack about hand washing, you may be better off exercising at home.

Combat Gym Drawbacks

While it’s not necessary to join a gym to lose weight, some people thrive in this type of setting. If you’re not sure if a gym is right for you, go to a nearby facility and ask for a free trial membership. This will give you a chance to use the facility for a couple of weeks to see if joining is something you really want to do.

If you feel like a gym membership is what you need to get off your hump and exercise, negotiate with the fitness club to save a little cash. Some gyms will waive their registration fees or offer as much as 30 percent off membership prices”all you gotta’ do is ask.

If you detest the idea of being trapped in a contract, ask for a month to month membership. Most gyms don’t advertise the month to month thing because it eats into their profits. With this type of membership, you simply pay as you go. When you get sick of going, you can quit without paying any additional fees.

    Obesity is a big problem these days. Mostly because people keep eating bad foods, and don’t exercise. Face it, we live in a lazy time, and we are a lazy people. Most people are infatuated with easy ways to lose weight, yet aren’t willing to bust a little sweat, or change their diet (or habits) to actually lose weight, and KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF. I’m here to help. I feel that most people today are more aligned with golden nugget tips on losing weight, rather than the foundations of a healthy lifestyle. Most people want to lose it fast without doing the work, so they resort to the latest diet fad, or the latest diet pill, both of which I find to be pointless because most of the people don’t shed the habits that make them overweight in the first place. So, without further adieu, here are my foundations.

    NUMBER 1: EAT BREAKFAST EVERY MORNING - Just because you sleep, doesn’t mean your body isn’t working. Most people think that their body does nothing when they sleep, and usually wake up, eat a lame breakfast consisting of cheerios and a cup of coffee and go about their day. What they don’t realize is their body is eating their muscle for energy. Studies show that people who eat breakfast are 400% more likely to lose weight than those who don’t. That’s a huge factor right there. When people sleep, usually they haven’t eaten in many hours, and their body eventually goes from being anabolic (The phase of metabolism in which simple substances are synthesized into the complex materials of living tissue.) to catabolic (The metabolic breakdown of complex molecules into simpler ones, often resulting in a release of energy.) In normal terms, anabolic means you are giving your body sources of energy to burn instead of muscle, and catabolic means you are using your own meat to fuel the fire. Most people just go about their day, and their body is eating away at itself because of a lack of sufficient nutrition. To get around this, EAT YOUR BREAKFAST. This means eat a complete breakfast so your body has good fuel to burn and can metabolize properly. Eating a healthy, and balanced breakfast also helps you avoid hunger later throughout the day, (which can lead to you grabbing that little candy bar for energy), it helps you get on track for making healthier decisions all day, AND the basic, IT GIVES YOU ESSENTIAL ENERGY FOR PERFORMING OPTIMALLY. Plain and simple, just don’t skip breakfast, you’ll see what I mean.

    NUMBER 2: EAT SMALLER MEALS THROUGHOUT THE DAY - Most people today eat a quick meal here and there, maybe 2-3 times a day. I do not agree with this. Most people will eat until they are very full, which is also a poor decision. I always say eat until you’re satisfied. This will provide you with a sufficient amount of energy, and also keep you from stretching your stomach. Your brain (and body) when eating a smaller amount of meals can go into Famine mode, which means it will hold onto any excess fats for further use in case you run out of food. Though, you might think “Well Brandon, I have food on the shelves”. It doesn’t matter, our bodies and brains are still very primal, and still operate on very core and fundamental principles. Like, if there isn’t enough food, (you’re eating too little) than obviously you don’t have enough food to survive, so we need to keep any extra resources for fuel later on. So, to counter this, eat 4-6 smaller meals a day. A sandwich and a tall glass of milk with an apple can suffice, over a fat burger and some fries. Remember, you’re not eating to stuff yourself full to the brim, you’re eating to satisfy your hunger and your body’s hunger for fuel. When you eat the smaller meals, your body thinks “Hey, I have plenty of food, I can shed some of this extra weight off because obviously, I don’t need all this extra fat for fuel.”

    NUMBER 3: EXERCISE, OR AT LEAST BE PHYSICAL - Okay, come on now, this one is obvious. You might lose some weight using that new diet pill, but are you going to keep it off when you stop the pill and keep on eating McDonalds? You need to get outside and do something physical. Even if that means just walking a bit faster when you’re shopping for groceries. It’s not hard, just get your heart pumping. When people hear the word “exercise” they think bodybuilding or running marathons, but that’s simply not realistic. A lot of people who are reading this might have medical problems, bad joints, etc.. So, you do what is healthy for yourself. I’ve seen obese people lose 50-70lbs in less than 3 months just walking around for a little bit every day. WALKING. Is that hard? Just go for a walk every day and you will see benefits. If you’re into a rigorous workout, then do it. It just depends on how much you want to lose, and what you’re willing to do to lose it. My favorite is jump roping, that will burn serious calories and will burn SERIOUS fat, while toning. Be realistic, if you’re 400lbs, don’t start jump roping, don’t run, just walk around for 20 minutes a day, and gradually increase. Eventually you might just be running marathons (if that’s what you’re into). Everyone wants to lose weight, but they’re usually never willing to do the work, so if you’re not, have fun sitting and watching TV while you see those in shape people running outside your window. You do the math…

    NUMBER 4: CHANGE YOUR DIET, CHANGE YOUR HABITS - This is the biggest step I can offer that will seriously change your weight, and change your life. You can do everything above, but if you don’t drop the bad habits, you will not KEEP the weight off. Sure, you might lose weight, but as soon as you’re comfortable, if you continue, you’ll just pack them lbs back on. Habits are the biggest maker or breaker of anyone. If you have habits that lead you to eating candy bars when you’re stressed, or laying on a couch all day or a computer game, than obviously you’re going to gain your weight back on if you stop exercising. So, start the change today. Make it a goal to exercise a little bit every day. Next time you get stressed, and start grabbing for one of those milky ways in your secret stash, grab a carrot instead. I’m really serious, how do you expect to keep weight off if you keep doing the same things you did before you made the decision to lose weight? You need to develop new habits. This doesn’t mean you need to change your entire life, it just means balance it out a bit. If you’re a gamer, and play WOW all day, than maybe take a half hour break in the middle of your game and work out. Instead of munching on Doritos, munch on a salad. Drink water instead of pop. Etc.. Little habits will make or break you, and I am not exaggerating. I’ve seen people lose 100lbs in a few months, and not drop the bad habits, and as soon as they get comfortable, they pack it back on and some more. You need to change the habits you have, and you’ll change the way you look, and the way you think. Habits are who you are, you must realize right now that they are determining the rest of your life. You don’t think quitting smoking is just stopping an addiction do you? It’s mostly getting rid of the habit that’s the hard part. So start changing your habits, and you will see a world of change..

    NUMBER 5: Going to keep it simple, stop drinking pop - Pop, soda, whatever, just stop drinking it all the time. You can have it rarely, but don’t drink it every day. I don’t care if it’s diet, it’s still sugar. Drop it, and you’ll drop a bunch.

    These are my 5 methods of losing weight, these are for people who are sick of putting the lbs back on after losing some. These will change your life, and I’m not exaggerating. Try them out, and you’ll see a difference.

    Want to lose weight fast, for the wedding party or holiday? Although there are many things you can do to get rid of extra pounds, doing so too quickly, can be dangerous. Although diets, diet pills and fasting is a bit to help you lose the extra pounds fast, these methods can cause muscle loss and may also damage the heart and other organs fairly quickly.

    Many people say they want to lose weight quickly. They think that this makes them look better and help them avoid some health problems. But is it really so? First, the human body, is not just weight. You have fat and lean tissue (muscles, internal organs, bones, etc.). What do you really have to do is not to drop weight fast. In fact, it is to lose fat fast.

    If you want to lose pounds quickly and stay healthy, you have to forget the diet pills on fasting, and all the fad diets of the many available. Realistically, the body needs specific and varied nutrients to maintain health. You can lose weight quickly and stay healthy if you choose a diet plan that is easily adapted to the foods you love to eat normally. This makes it much easier to comply with the plan to shred pounds fast.

    In modern society, the desire to lose weight fast seems to be a general phenomenon. You are currently trying to? So many dieters seem to meet the needs of the diet, but in reality the job only to lose pounds fast? The Healthy diet plan will not help you lose weight fast, but it is a balanced approach, to take effect. Need to balance your problems of weight loss, dietary patterns, energy expenditure and hours of training. There are some suggestions that are designed to help you achieve your goals quickly. The body needs to operate in the most effective way, as if the bodies are operating at full power to get rid of weight quickly. Therefore, the inclusion of aerobic exercise into your daily life is a must.

    Do not avoid the food and make breakfast in the main meal. Consume protein regularly. Eat cherries and strawberries. These foods are rich in allegic acid a nutrient that helps to scavenge free radicals and help combat pollutants such as alcohol and products that enhance brain power. You can also add raspberries an alternative to these two options. Committing to a strength training calendar is also useful for losing weight fast. The water is very important, so plenty of water intake is important. Avoid consumption of sugars and foods high in fiber, when you are on the a diet.

    NEWS FLASH: The problem with Americans body fat levels is not with the exercise programs out there, it is the lack of fitness experts helping you with your approach combined with lack of responsibility.

    Body-fat is the over all percent of muscle to your body weight. If you are close to thirty percent you are clinically considered to be obese. Over forty percent of you are obese. And sixty percent of you are over weight just asking to get diabetes.

    Do you know if you just lower your body fat levels 5 percent you will decrease your chances of heart disease, diabetes, strokes by half? Not to mention the greater quality of life you will live. Is your image of yourself so bad that you would rather be fat than to feel good?

    Here are the main ways to lower your body fat levels:

    #1: Lower your fat intake in your daily diets. #2: Get a full balanced exercise program started: walking, weight training, and stretching. #3: Take basic vitamins . #4: Lower stress levels. #5: Quit making excuses.
